Juniper - gene design for the masses

Maximum permitted overlap

Experience has shown that if stretches of the sequence are complementary to stretches contained within another oligo, this can interefere with the assembly of the gene construct by recursive PCR. Juniper attempts to remove regions of complementarity or identity above a certain sequence length threshold by changing the codons used in these overlap regions.

Regions of complementarity or identity of length equal to or greater than this threshold will be removed.
